This Antique 19th Century Cherub (little devil) Porcelain Plate is a beautifully decorative plate featuring a little baby cherubs (little devils) getting into trouble and making a mess, quite typical of the Victorian era.
The round plate has a glossy finish with some scalloping and embossing around the red edge.
It measures 9.75 inches in diameter. Crafted in Europe in the late 19th century, this unique piece is perfect for all occasions.
Made of high-quality porcelain, this one-of-a-kind plate is a lovely addition to any collection of art pottery or Victorian-themed decor.
This plate has been listed as Limoges France, Homer Laughlin America, and Carlsbad Bavaria. The printed mark on the reverse side of the plate has worn off but it is representative of the style of each of these makers. The thicker porcelain seems to represent an American made designer.
