Original 19th-Century New Year’s Greeting Trade Card — "The Song of the Stork" (Winter)
This lovely antique trade card features a poetic New Year greeting titled "The Song of the Stork — Winter", copyrighted 1893 by L. Prang & Co., Boston, USA.

The front shows a peaceful winter scene with a stork’s nest atop a roof, framed by bright green holly leaves and red berries. In the background, you see a small church and snow-dusted landscape, with “A Happy New Year" greeting in delicate lettering.

On the back is the full printed poem "Winter" from The Song of the Stork series. The poem describes the snow-bearded Winter, his watchfulness and silent wait, and his tender heart at the sight of the stork's deserted nest — a beautiful example of late-Victorian sentimentality and artistry.
