These birds could possibly be Joaquin Tinta Taller pieces, but only one of them is marked ECUADOR; neither one of them has the additional "TALLER TINTA" stamp. Other pieces with no markings have sold over $150 per piece.
Pair of rare and unique South American bird figurines in the style of Joaquin Taller Tinta. Some pieces are fully marked Tinta Taller, others Ecuador, and some may also have no markings at all. Only one of these pieces is marked ECUADOR on the bottom, but they were both gifted together many many years ago. Both birds are in great vintage condition, with minimal signs of being handled; mostly displayed for at least 30 years+ inside a glass hutch.
One marked Ecuador on the bottom. One appears to be a toucan with black onyx eyes and the other a parrot with turquoise eyes.
The MCM Bird Sculptures is are unique and possibly designed by Ecuadorian artist Joaquin Taller Tinta.
