When it debuted in 1992, the Air Deschutz forever changed the sandal by combing traditional minimalism with Nike’s singular approach to technical performance. For this special edition of the design. Nike’s ACG team partnered with Hawaii-based label Sig Zane Designs.
Sig Zane is a local icon, and alongside his son Kuhao Zane, he aims to pass knowledge of Hawaiian culture to the next generation through example, experiences, and design. They did just that with this unique take on the Deschutz Sandal. Subtle textures and prints infuse the look with an organic feel that encapsulates the powerful energy of their island and a spirit truly unique to the region.
