These coral beads display a natural variation of rich reds, oranges, and lighter highlights, showing the organic growth patterns of genuine coral. To salvage these vintage beads from a crimped fishing line strand, it was restrung with sterling silver findings and has been individually hand-knotted, a meticulous and time-consuming process given the small size of the beads. This method was necessary to preserve the natural coral from rubbing and scratching against each other. The result is a necklace that feels more fluid, drapes beautifully, and will maintain its polished appearance for decades.
